The Edge

Late afternoon. Twilight. Dusk. I love this time. There is something both eerie and magical about it. Time seems to stop, with the world poised on the edge of change. I'm lost between day and night, between waking and sleeping, and even the air feels rich with anticipation. Other worlds are briefly within reach, and I can go anywhere. Thoughts flow through my mind like a river - recent events, upcoming plans, distant memories, forgotten dreams, curious wonderings - they are all entwined and in motion. I feel a thousand things and still I am numb.
